COFFEE IN NICARAGUA

Posted by coffee

Nicaragua

It is a very poor country. But the fertile volcanic based soil could produce more than one million bags in average of all wet processed arabica. One of the best of Nicaraguan coffee is from Matagalpa and the neighbouring town of Jinotega which known for its large bean, slightly salty acidity, and medium to full body and good aroma. Nicaragua also have the Maragogype variety which is the largest producer for that kind variety in the world, although the flavor is generally not so good as the Guatemalan Maragogype. Probably it would help the Nicaraguan economics by buying their coffee, supporting the coffee farmers there.
